Dave's (Suntown Photography) Bio:  Dave got in to Male image photography when a friend asked him to do some photos that could be sent to a Model Agency. That was back in 1986. Dave enjoyed the shoot and decided to do more. At first he approached greetings cards and poster publishers. Then in 1988 he had a meeting with Brian Derbyshire, who was at the time the Editor of Him and Zipper Magazines. Brian liked Dave's work and soon it was regularly appearing in number of magazines. The titles included Euroboy, Boyz, Maleshots in the UK, Buddy and Du und Ich in Germany and on cards published by Emotional Rescue. When Him Magazine published its 100th issue Dave's photos of a popular model of the time got interest in his work by US book publisher Starbooks Press. There followed a collaboration which resulted in over 20 titles being published with Dave's work on the front covers.Then in 1996 Aubrey Walters of GMP contacted Dave with a proposal to do a book of his work. The result was "The English Country Lad". The book proved quite successful and two other titles followed within the next three years. They were "Young and Hairy" and "Country Shoots". Since then Dave has tended to concentrate on doing work for posters and postcards.

Doug's Bio:  The thought of shooting Male Physique pictures never entered my head. After a visit to the Natural History Museum and witnessing the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition that was my chosen path. I had already been shooting travel and landscapes shots for years and getting published in SE Asia where I lived for 21 years. A top of the range Nikon film camera was purchased and the wildlife photography started THEN one day at my gym a mate asked if I would take some shots of him as he was on peak form. Sure says I not expecting the path it would take me down. Both he and I were over the moon with the results and they got shown around to other guys at the gym who then asked for photoshoots. The circle soon became wider and wider and I was travelling around the country shooting bodybuilders and defined guys. As luck would have it one of these bodybuilders turned out to be a Gladiator from SKY TV and after a shoot with him he asked me to do a series of shoots for his online fanpage. This in turn led to Muscle and Fitness magazine where I had shots in four issues. Another world class bodybuilder introduced me to Model Mayhem where I opened a profile in March 2010. This site has brought me a wealth of great models and through their sheer professionalism my work has changed dramatically. I am delighted to have some of them shown here - all great guys.
